Key Responsibilities:
Design & Drafting.
Design sheet metal enclosures for HT Panels rated 11kV, 22kV and 33kV electrical control panels as per
Design sheet metal enclosures for LT such as PCC, MCC, APFC, VFD electrical control panels as per customer specifications and industry standards (IS/IEC).
Prepare 2D & 3D mechanical drawings for electrical control panels Use AutoCAD, SolidWorks.
Assist in creating layout drawings, cut-out details, and fabrication drawings of enclosures and panel
Work on modifications to existing drawings based on design changes or production feedback.
Coordinate with Manually Fabricator
Bill of Materials (BOM) & Documentation
Ø Prepare and update Bill of Materials (BOM) under supervision of senior engineers.
Ø Maintain drawing records and revision history as per company format.
Ø Assist in preparing technical documents for design approvals and customer submissions.
Production & Shop Floor Coordination
Ø Provide basic design clarification to fabrication and assembly teams.
Ø Coordinate with fabrication supervisors for checking panel dimensions and cut-outs.
Ø Learn and support prototype fitting, mounting, and modification activities
Learning Standards & Compliance
Ø Understand and follow relevant IS/IEC standards used in control panel design.
Ø Support in maintaining design quality and ensure alignment with project specifications.
Team Support
Ø Work closely with senior engineers and learn design best practices.
Ø Attend internal project meetings and contribute in design reviews.
Ø Coordinate with the purchase department for material specification verification.
Key Skills Required:
Ø Basic proficiency in AutoCAD (2D mandatory; 3D is an advantage)
Ø Understanding of sheet metal components, fabrication, and enclosure design
Ø Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings
Ø ERP Software
Good communication and willingness to learn
Ø MS Office (Excel/Word) for documentation
Ø Team player and task-oriented mind-set
Educational Qualification:
Ø Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering or Production Engineering
