Job description :
Key Responsibilities:
1. Tendering & Estimation:
- Study and analyze technical specifications, drawings, and tender documents received from clients or consultants.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for LV/MV switchgear panels, bus ducts, control panels, and related systems.
- Identify material requirements, component specifications, and quantities for estimation.
- Evaluate technical and commercial aspects of tenders and RFQs (Request for Quotation).
- Prepare and submit techno-commercial offers and proposals within deadlines.
2. Technical Analysis & Coordination:
- Coordinate with design and engineering teams to finalize the most efficient and cost-effective design solution.
- Liaise with procurement and vendors to obtain accurate price inputs for materials and components.
- Collaborate with the sales team for bid clarifications and technical discussions with customers.
- Review and compare vendor quotations for accuracy, lead time, and technical suitability.
3. Costing & Pricing:
- Develop detailed cost sheets covering material, labor, overheads, and margin analysis.
- Optimize costs through alternative material selection or process improvement.
- Ensure estimates align with company pricing policies and target profitability.
4. Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain records of all tenders, quotations, and pricing history for reference.
- Prepare bid summaries, comparison statements, and management approval notes.
- Update and track project estimation status using ERP or internal systems.
5. Market & Product Knowledge:
- Keep updated with latest switchgear technologies, market trends, and vendor pricing.
- Understand client requirements and standards (IEC, IS, or customer-specific).
Key Skills & Competencies:
- Strong technical knowledge of electrical panels, switchgears, busbars, MCC, PCC, APFC panels, etc.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical SLDs, GA drawings, and BOQs.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD (basic), and ERP tools.
- Analytical thinking, attention to detail, and commercial awareness.
- Effective communication and coordination skills across departments.
- Ability to work under tight tender deadlines.
2. Key Responsibilities
Dispatch & Planning
- Plan, schedule, and execute daily dispatches based on production readiness.
- Coordinate with Production, QC, and Stores for material readiness.
- Ensure proper packaging and safe handling of panels and components.
Logistics Coordination
- Arrange suitable transport vehicles based on load requirements.
- Coordinate with transporters and negotiate cost-effective rates.
- Monitor vehicle movements and ensure on-time delivery.
Documentation & Compliance
- Prepare and verify dispatch-related documents: Delivery Challan, Invoice, E-Way Bill, Packing List, Gate Pass.
- Ensure compliance with GST and statutory transport guidelines.
- Maintain accuracy in item details, quantities, and customer references.
Safety & Material Handling
- Oversee loading/unloading activities and ensure safe handling practices.
- Ensure proper use of lifting tools, tackles, and PPE.
- Check packing quality to prevent transit damage.
Coordination & Communication
- Share dispatch status with Sales, Project, and Service teams.
- Coordinate with customers regarding shipment details and delivery schedules.
- Maintain relationships with transporters and logistics partners.
Record Keeping & Reporting
- Maintain dispatch logs, transporter bills, LR/POD records, and gate pass reports.
- Prepare daily/weekly/monthly logistics and dispatch MIS.
- Track pending deliveries and follow up for PODs.
3. Required Skills & Competencies
- Knowledge of control panels and switchgear components (preferred).
- Understanding of commercial documentation and dispatch procedures.
- Basic GST and transport regulation knowledge.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP systems, and email communication.
- Strong coordination, negotiation, and time-management skills.
4. Qualification
- Graduate / Diploma (Electrical/Mechanical/Supply Chain preferred).
- Minimum 2 year experience in logistics/dispatch in manufacturing (electrical industry advantageous).
